MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 9, 1996--Stratasys Inc.
(NASDAQ NMS:SSYS) today announced that the Japanese patent office
issued a patent which covers Stratasys' core rapid prototyping
technology, FDM(TM) (Fused Deposition Modeling).
In addition, this Japanese patent includes the process of
dispensing a material to build a model or prototype, as well as the
use of a modeling material filament in rapid prototyping.

announce that Stratasys has strengthened its market position in
Japan. With our first patent in Japan, we intend to create a long
