She was quite brusk even before I told her what I wanted -- she ended up by saying they weren't staffed to answer questions that other Depts of the Gov should be able to answer. I replied that Jennifer Dunn's office (now deceased but former R-WA US House) used to answer any question that I ever called them on...This gal said they didn't have enough staff, and I mentioned that since I was on Murray's website, I counted 6 other offices in the State plus in DC. She was in no humor to respond to that, but settled down a bit when I told her I was going to post that on the National Finance Board as I mentioned in my previous note

So, while I have the letter ready to mail to Murray, decided tomorrow to call the Foundation first, and see what is on that website tonight....

I find it truly strange for the call center person to say the "Foundation got your information from the Census Form"....I was pretty sure that question wasn't on the form, but since I didn't make it out, wasn't sure at the time of the phone call.

Somehow, I don't think it was "just an accident"....

Edit: I just tried to see that website....It is a scam! Lots of others have written about it...but haven't mentioned the "Census" at least as far as I can see. I will call the National Association tomorrow!!! They are closed tonight!
