People are too keen to be impatient with concrete setting. 28 days is a long wait and 3 day strength isn't all that great. Combine that with ignoring bits of rubber coming up wrecking the seal [like the Space Shuttle o ring] and maybe something else and hey presto, disaster. What you described is the sort of thing I'd expect to find. Each person depending on somebody else to solve any problems with their multiple backups. I forget where I read who approved the removal of the drilling mud, but it was somewhere in cyberspace and it was some regulator. Which is not to say that that was good information. Mqurice
