Tektronix to unveil WBT product at Comdex By InfoWorld Electric staff Posted at 5:15 p.m., PT, Nov. 4 Microsoft's Windows-based Terminal (WBT) concept continues to garner supporters, with Tektronix readying a product for announcement at Comdex. The company will offer an upgrade path for its existing network computer customers. The WBT can be fully integrated with Tektronix's Spotlight VideoServer to provide instant, full-screen, full-motion video on demand to individual desktops on a corporation's client/server networks. Based on an NEC R4300 processor, the WBT delivers 30 frames per second of video while providing simultaneous windowed access to a browser, as well as Windows, Java, and legacy applications.
