TO All QDEL: You may remember a couple of weeks ago I told you my wife was having stomach pains and went to the doctor for a checkup and I insisted she be checked for the h. pylori bactria. Sure enough, she tested positive and the doctor put her on medication to get rid of the bug. My wife finished her treatment about 10 days ago and she has no more stomach problems; she is a happy camper! And I am a happy camper too because she had been complaining for months about her stomach and, quite frankly, I was concerned. BTW, next week I will have a physical and you can be sure I will ask for an h. pylori test. (As a footnote, I talked with my wife's doctor and she said she recently read an article in a medical journal which suggests that once you have had h. pylori you won't catch it again because the body will recognize it and fight it off. Apparently there needs to be more study about that.) Rick
