Rand Paul sounds a lot like his father, with perhaps a larger dash of sanity thrown in. Despite the fact he is in the GOP, I think he will be a thorn in their side and will not go along with their corporate bootlicking.

The "Rand Paul Supporters" who were harrassing other voters at the polls seem to be only 6 Teabaggers. The reports didn't say this, but my guess is that alcohol may have been served before they went to vote. In no way is Paul responsible for the actions of some of the crazies in the Teabagger Movement. It does show the depth of the hypocrisy of "we wuv da Constitution" among some of the baggers. They love the Constitution where it helps them win and will abuse it if there is any chance they will lose their govt. handouts.

The Connecticut guy, Bloomberg, who tried to say he served in Vietnam when he actually pulled a George W. Bush and was in a Marine reserve unit in the States, has been caught and should drop out of the race. He also got several deferments, ala Cheney, to make sure he stayed out of Nam until a reserve position would open up. There is nothing wrong with seeking a deferment and there is certainly nothing wrong with serving in the Marine Reserves. But there is something wrong in waving Old Glory and lying about your service.
