I too have encountered one or more persons whose self-esteem seems to be based on a lie. Unclewest alerted me to this possibility, and I will in due time report to him a peculiar string of deceptions on an issue we have discussed privately that goes farther than I have already related to him. I'm not prepared to go public with this, but Unclewest knows what I'm talking about. I really have no clue why people feel the need to ascribe false honors to themselves. Isn't that dishonorable by definition? Personally, I have to do my bragging about relatives and friends who have served, because I certainly have not unless one counts ROTC, which I don't. And by the way, thank you for your service.
