"In some ways, PA-12 seems to be a must-win for Republicans. After all, if they can't win the only district in the country that voted for both John Kerry and John McCain, what does it say about their ability to win other GOP-tilting seats this fall?" said Amy Walters, editor-in-chief of National Journal's The Hotline.

Pretty weak analysis and spin. I would say that the dem candidate had tremendous odds at winning when they have a registration advantage of 2 to 1. The demographics of the area are white, blue collar and union. Probably did not like some of the comments O made about them when he was visiting during the campaign thus the vote for McCain. They like Murtha because he brought home a lot of bacon and the dem candidate was tied to him at the hip.

Glad to see Arlen get whooped. PA will have better representation this coming year.

Regards

Neil
