Hi makeuwonder,I agree with your analysis.

There are an awful lot of naked short IOU's out there.

In the past if you had to cover (merger or legit run up),you could just sell naked another stock.

This stops the musical chairs

Now everyone dancing to the music knows there are more dancers than chairs.

Those shorts must be sweatin.

Now I don't doubt for a minute that the noisemakers will want small investors to barf up some nervous shares of stock.

WHEN ALL THE NOISE IS OVER-there's going to be some serious buying of stock going on.

Then as Buffet says, when the tide goes out - we'll see who is swimming without the swimsuits.

In other words those who sold short and then lost money with the levered funds they obtained,will now fessup as they have to cover.

When the cool hand lukes who have boldly shorted into a declining supply of shares, figure out there is a real squeeze popping their heads off - there will be some blowups.

The blowups will be when they can't afford to buy back the spiking prices that are going UP on the stock they must cover- the result of sudden and large demand.

To those of us who have stared this blatant law breaking (there are in fact laws against naked short selling) for years - it is the sweet unwind of larceny against the little guy who plays the game straight.

I'm hoping we see some big busts and as they go belly up -let's label the bastards properly.

ENRON LIKE - smartest guys in the room - who can otherwise only be called - CHEATERS!!

BUST THEIR CROOKED ARSES - I SAY!!!
