Good morning Neil.

The elections were decided by party members. The Independents did not take part or rather were not allowed to take part. How the vote will go in November will be determined by how the non-partisans or rather the Independents vote.

In Kentucky, the tea party folks prevailed over their more moderate colleagues led by Mitch McConnell. In Pennsylvania, the Dems also threw out the establishment (led by Obama) and aging leaders. And the same in Arkansas.

But the key is the vote for Murtha's seat which the Democrats easily succeeded in retaining. I would be surprised if the results went the other way in a blue state such as PA.

Strangely though Europe will decide the Nov. election outcome (Foreign influence eh!!!)
