HOUSTON -(Dow Jones)- Compaq Computer Corp. reduced prices 11% to 25%
on selected Presario home computers.
Compaq (CPQ) Thursday said selected Presario computers now cost $799
to $2,499.
Presario 1600 Series now starts at $2,299. The Presario 4500 Series
starts at $999. Presario 4800 starts at $1,699.
Presario 2200's prices remain at $799 without a monitor. The Presario
1200 Series remains at $1,999.
The computer manufacturer said it also launched a Fall television
advertising campaign to build awareness for Presario.
