I suspect we'll get new lows in valuation if not values but only when the money hose gets turned off. Despite what the inflationistas tell us that could be several years out.

I'm in the middle of Andrew Smithers latest book the follow up to his brilliant (and well timed) 2000 warning in which he popularized (to a degree) the Q ratio:

He really is the expert on long term valuation but even he admits there's only a couple of times each century the better bet is selling the market on high prices (of which the late 90s-2000) was one - and that's before tax consequences.

Shiller gets a lot of plaudits and he has done some good work too but people don't seem to realize he was bearish on the market from at least the early 90s and was negative even at the lows last year. As an asset manager he's been a disaster.
