I am afraid I am not familiar with their test case benchmark test. However I am most confident and from knowing Sun's business rule of conduct and its unique integrity in the industry, it will not advertise something if it was not true. For one thing Sun has a greate relationship with the academic world (i.e. Universities, and research laboratories) and because of that Sun will not in any way jeopordize the relationship to gain some insiginificant business upper hand by false advertising. Java's performance both on NT and Sun is the same (which is still a bit slow compared to traditional 3GL programs - but improving rapidly).
