Bankers have only 1 vote each, the same as other citizens. They can't buy and take over or take over in other ways either. What they can do is persuade politicians to give them big piles of opm. <we have been bought and taken over by WS. Fcukin Banksters! >
Since the electorate is in favour of that, voting time after time after time after time for bigger and bigger and bigger government with more and more and more rules and victimless "crimes", with more and more and more regulations and imposts, duties, taxes, fees, rates, tariffs and charges, they should not be surprised or dismayed that they get more of it and get it good and hard.
Ron Paul didn't get a lot of votes.
People thought it really really good to have somebody with loads of melanin and a penchant for power and Big Brother socialism. They get what they vote for. Good luck with Obamacare, you'll need it. Maybe all the marauding Mexicans who are taking over will vote for freedom, capitalism, low taxes, self-determination. But I suspect in fact they will aim to make the USA more like Mexico and vote accordingly. Americans who want to live like Mexicans can go and live there.
The electorate also had a choice of somebody with really good gonads. It was a toss up between melanin content and excellent gender. Americans voted for melanin. Another option, largely ignored, was to vote for neither melanin, nor gonads, but brains and ideas. Ron Paul's ideas were voted way out.
