I use Google Voice - free long distance.

google.com

Once you have a Google voice account, you log on to Google Voice and enter your home phone number. Then when you want to make a long distance call, you log on to Google Voice and click on the CALL icon and then enter the number that you want to call. Google Voice will then dial your phone number and when you answer, they will connect you to the party that you asked them to call. Easy to use after you get used to it.

I also have a cheap long distance service (GTC) that I occasionally use (only 2.1 cents a minute with no sign up fee, no monthly fee and no minimum usage charge).

Try a google search like this to find one in your area:

google.com
(add your phone area code to get better results)
