I can see real hardship is now being dealt out with a weakening euro. The last time the USD went strong it caused havoc in the Ukraine (where my brother lives) and it was deliberate policy for no other reason then to make the USD strong. There were even incentives for banks to take in dollars to make them scarce.

Thats enough to start some riots just by itself.

This really is a mega balls up of an unbelievable dimension. I don't think the hot shots at GS are going to be smirking for much longer.
