It is cowardly and dishonest to misrepresent. HOPE was a theme of all his speeches. And metaphor was his stock in trade. He never in his life suggested there was a shortage of hope. Recognizing that the bible is not a source of Divinity--but is rather tribal history and savagery very much of this earth--is entirely different from pretending life and death are both gloomy affairs. That is your line. Rational people want nothing to do with it.
