Hi Suma,

I used Vonage for over 2 years, and besides the price, I was very happy with their service. They have been advertising $14.99 mnth in my area lately, but I was paying $24.99 month when I had it. Although I've never had MJ, two friends have it and they are both satisfied. One complained it was difficult to use when she first got it, but I think it was just a learning curve thing for her. Call quality is fine on this end when we talk. I'm seriously considering MJ when my VZ contract expires, but I'm still fascinated by ooma, and will definitely look in to that. Haven't tried the Goog service B.K. mentioned.

As you can see, there are several options, and you don't have to be stuck with the local service........as long as you have decent Internet connection. I started looking at alternatives because my local service was just like yours. I was paying long distance charges to call two towns over (approx 12 miles) where some clients live and also where my insurance broker has her office. It was ridiculous.

Good luck!
