I like Rand Paul. I have about 80% agreement with his positions, and, the ones on which I disagree with him, he will never see daylight. Those include overturning parts of The Civil Rights Act and "no abortion, any time for any reason." I hate abortion and believe it should be prevented by birth control. I don't know if he believes in birth control. On the Civil Rights stuff, he is out to lunch, but at least he has to eat at an integrated lunch counter. <G>

However, claiming that it was the people who won the primary for him, then having his victory party at a private country club, shows his Tea Bagger true colors. Pretending to be common folk when they are really White only GOP elites. But I think he has the sense to learn from that mistake and distance himself a bit from the crazies.

I don't know much about the Democratic candidate, as they usually have no chance in Kentucky. But it could be a real race this time.
