We were talking about Ingersoll but yes, you're right. The mythic figure of Jesus was perhaps the most abject failure in the history of humanity. He left numerous ugly sayings and examples and left only a few stolen aphorisms of Epictetus and others that are worth remembering. If there were such a life it were a shame and a tragedy but of course there was not. The silence of history is deafening.
