Actually PLENTY of engineers say that there are big fuel efficiency gains that can be made in commercial truck fleets! Far more, (and far easier), then remaining gains from autos.... (For example: recapturing energy 'lost' in braking systems --- such as "hybrid" autos do today --- is tailor-made for commercial fleets. Electricity that could be generated and stored during idling, etc.) Which is why you'll see that the big truck manufacturers are not at all opposed to the efficiency push.....
