HR 5353: "The War Is Making You Poor Act"

Sponsored by Rep Alan Grayson & Co-Sponsored by Rep Ron Paul:

"The War Is Making You Poor Act" HR 5353

The bill calls for no taxes on the first $35,000 of income
for every individual in the United States, and pays for it,
by merely requiring the U.S. to stick to it's "base" military
budget...

Bravo!

H.R.5353 - War Is Making You Poor Act:

"To reduce the $159.3 billion from the discretionary overseas
contingency operations funds in the President's fiscal year
2011 budget for operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan
(without preventing use of mandatory funds from the Department
of Defense budget to execute the War on Terror), and amend the
Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide individuals a "War is
Making You Poor" tax credit against the savings attributable
to the overseas contingency operations reduction."

Get on the phone Monday morning and demand to speak to
"a senior policy aid" about this bill, and take your country
and your money back from the banksters & the military-
industrial complex.

Tell you Congressman - he's either with us, or against us.

He's either with the people, or with the military-industrial
complex & the bankers. And this bill forces him to declare
publicly, which side he's on.

And the beauty is - it's paid for - no new spending.

This bill forces Congress to expose itself.

The Stimulus Bill wasn't a jobs bill, and it didn't stimulate
the economy. It was money laundering bill full of political
payoffs and corporatist handouts.

The Bank Bailout didn't go to buying up bad mortgages like
Hankster "the Gangster" Paulson promised, it went to buying
US Treasuries, it went to high-frequency/front-running trading,
and it went to pay near-record bonuses to the banksters...

What we got, was a $1.5 trillion cut to consumer and small
business credit lines, rates hiked on our credit cards, and
billions in new junk fees.

This bill calls their hand.

If you're looking for a proof that our government is literally
a continuing criminal enterprise - if they don't pass this bill,
you got your proof.

They're either with us - or they're against us.
