The response of the Obama administration and the general public to this latest outrage at the hands of a giant, politically connected corporation has been embarrassingly tepid. We take our whippings in stride in this country. We behave as though there is nothing we can do about it. This is what I mean by talking over us. You and others seem to think that the rest of us, including Obama, don't get the seriousness of the situation. The thing is we do.....and we are just as frustrated as you are. What I am not clear about is what you think the rest of us can do that has not been done. Do you think Obama hasn't screamed his bloody head off at Hayward, the CEO of BP? Obama is heardly that stupid. People in the know are saying many of the things BP is trying to do have never been done before at the depths we are talking about. There has got to be a solid reason why they keep putting off the top kill or the junk shot. Its very worrisome and the hurricane season is nearly upon us. One thing IS clear....histrionics is not what we need at this time.
