If there is one decision which everybody will try to pass the buck on, it will be to do the top kill. There is the potential that the maneuver will totally ruin it. It currently acts as a restrictor. If it gets ruined, the entire well can flow unrestricted, until the relief well gets drilled. That can be 2 more months.

I thought that if the top kill didn't work, there was always the junk shot....but who knows what the reality is.
