Ms Gail Gabel reports
The company has been identified by Sikorsky Canada as a partner in Sikorsky's industrial and regional
benefits program (IRB) which is a integral part of Sikorsky's bid to sell helicopters to the Canadian
government. Sikorsky has placed innovative leading edge technology as a key component of its IRB
strategy. As a result, Sikorsky identified ESI's Moisture-Point technology and is currently actively
promoting Moisture-Point in Kuwait and other Middle East nations where monitoring water and
moisture is of great importance.
Moisture-Point is a revolutionary technology for soil moisture measurement, particularly as it can
determine moisture content simultaneously in up to five soil depths. There are no competitive products
matching the performance, flexibility and value of Moisture-Point, and the systems are protected by an
exclusive process patent.
Sikorsky is a world leader in the helicopter industry, generating $1.6 billion in sales revenues in 1996,
and has offices in 12 countries, contract sales representatives in nearly 100 countries, and an extensive
international fleet with aircraft operating in 48 countries.
