What makes Cognizant unique is their customer interface, their sales force. When others were focused on just back-end operations Cognizant was doing both the back-end and the front-end. Today they have one of the strongest sales forces in the industry, and they continue to invest in it, but the back end is also just as robust as the best players in India. It puts them in a position to be among the fastest growers in the industry. They kept growing right through the downturn.
