larry- i understand. yeah, it will mean change that is for sure. the real key is functionality. we need 12" wafers and .1(or less) mu geometries to make those computers even slightly economically feasible. still, it is a cool idea. i happen to prefer the idea of an optical processor based on some kind of holographic structure. of course, holographic HDDs aren't commercially producable yet, so processors may be a bit out on the horizon<g>. heres something that some may not have thought about. as SCS gains vogue on wall st., what if MU comes out and says they will build them. could mean a 5-7 point bounce up. just a thought. of course it would probably be bs. good luck to all, trey
