Actually if you can find a good dentist that excels at root canals, Endodontists are bad for Endodontists, in my experience at least.

My last 3 root canals by an endodontist left me disgusted with them. In agony, needing a root canal, the best I could do was get a $200 appointment with his consultant, who confirmed that, yes, I needed a root canal and then scheduled the appointment for a week later saying the $200 would be deducted from the cost.

How many people in agony decline a root canal because of cost? Why can't these experts just schedule the root canal that my dentist has already said is necessary?

My last 2 root canals were done by dentists on a next day basis; were less expensive; and more pain free. And both dentists apologized for not being able to take me same day.

All the same, I don't expect to see human tooth regeneration during my lifetime.
