The CG and NOAA estimate 5K bpd based on what was showing up on the surface. There aren't any real measurements done on an uncontrolled well .... just estimates. Why won't they release the siphoning data anymore? Did it stop running? I don't think so, I think it just hasn't changed. You know all this obsessing over the flow rate tends to indicate you think a 5K bpd spill just isn't catastrophic enough.
