Mike: Great post. Thanks

You wrote, <<Isn't it amazing how the patient sometimes knows more than the doctor?>> Sometimes?????

Once people start to take charge of their own health and the FDA makes all drugs over-the -counter we will see another revolution in health care. Do we really need a high priced professional to tell us what the drug companies told them? Pharmacists do a great job of giving out info. Traditional medicine is great for repairing things like hair lips, cleft pallets, and putting someone back together after an accident. If you're at all familiar with the mind/body connection you'll see where certain people have been cured of "incurable" diseases without any drugs or operations.

Could it be that appendicitus may be caused simply by a microbe? Is anyone trying to get at the root of this problem?? Could it be in the future that Appendicitus may easily be detected by a similiar test years in advance of the acute situation?

Please understand, I'm not off the wall on this mind/body connection. Doctors call it the placebo effect but then ignore it cause there's no money to be made from people being encouraged to heal themselves. Believe me.......I WAS THERE, CHARLIE!
