Things are extremely challenging at such depths where the column pressures, lateral pressures and temperatures are extreme. It is very tough to position those servo controls due to counter pressures. It is easy to use those servos to drill in a angular fashion since those servos are in pipes. It looks like the only worse thing that can befall us is if a meteorite were to hit the earth. If that were to happen, I bet only the liberals and conservatives would stand around and keep pointing fingers at one another. :)
