WASHINGTON, May 25 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama will seek $500 million for security and send up to 1,200 National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexican border, an administration official said on Tuesday, after demands from both Republicans and Democrats for more federal resources along the frontier.

That is $416,000 per soldier.
Who gets the profit?

Come on, you don't think these 1,200 guardsmen are new hires, do you? They are already on the payroll. The $500 million goes for their transport, housing, equipment, two way radios, smartphones, etc.
