On this, I trust nobody who doesn't know oil. Do I trust BP in general? No. Do I trust that BP will do everything in their power to stop the well? 101%. "I am sure they are actually a fine and honest corporation with only your best interests in mind." Not being a shareholder, I seriously doubt it. They just want to sell me my drug. BP has already spent 800M; I doubt they would balk at another 200 if it would make everything but their legal problems go away.
