Here's an update directly from QSound Labs. I emailed them with the following:

Dear Q-Sound:

I am a shareholder of the company, and am doing further research on QSound labs' recent business developments.

I have heard of a deal struck between QSNDF and Starkey Laboratories. As this seems to be a fairly large revenue source for the company's future, according to major investors in your company, can you please give me further details of the partnership? Who is Starkey Labs, and what role will they play in the use of your technology? How many hearing aids that use your products will Starkey be expecting to produce for the next year? And for the year after that? How much royalty revenue will QSNDF receive from each hearing aid produced and sold? And finally, do you expect QSNDF to remain in profitable territory from now on?

And the reply I received about 30 minutes ago:

Rainier Trinidad,

Thank you for your interest in QSound.

Starkey has licensed a new binaural hearing aid technology that was developed jointly by QSound Labs and the House Ear Institute of Los Angeles. This technology has received two patents to date. Starkey Laboratories is one of the world's largest in-the-ear hearing aid manufacturers and will manufacture and market a new digital hearing aid that incorporates this technology. We expect this product to be a significant improvement over the current hearing aid products. In the past, Starkey's new products have sold in the range of 70,000 to 100,000 units in the first year. Our royalty is $50.00 per units sold.

QSound Labs' expects that this and other recently signed contracts will add to the company's revenues increasing its profitability.

....

Sounds nice, don't you think?

Regards,

Rainier
