The SCUDs can't reach Okinawa, but they have other longer range missiles that can. Rodong/Nodong -2s, and Taepodong's (both are derived from Scuds but are have added stages and such).

Yes - I used the word SCUD as everyone knows what it is but the follow ons have been tested and over flew Japan recently. Coupled with nuclesr tests and no inspections for years - it's assumed they can carry some payload now. It's all they've been doing for several years now - one goal.

We did all the chem war training - even as a civilian - driving in summer heat and typing with a pencil in full chem gear - what a nightmare. The military trainers told us they had genetic chemicals that would kill any non-asians - not sure I believe him but we all paid close attention.

your just hitting an area. They would have to get lucky to take out an important target, or kill significant numbers of their enemy

Imagine shelling NY city - trying to take out a specific building - higher is better but you need to be closer to do that.

PS: It's the Imjin river the dam is on but it meets the Han. They recently had some people drown when the river rose a couple feet over night with no rain.

I believe this is the dam: maps.google.com
