Sam, where are you getting your ECRI number information from?

Those guys are usually spot on. Actually getting directly from them was too expensive for me.

Anyway, I agree with what you are saying 100%. We also need to keep an eye on volatility going forward. Whatever addition rally that may come starting now or in anticipation of July earnings will likely still be under higher volatility levels than we saw previous to this latest sell off.

This is what we saw before the last major market top. Higher lows on the VIX and higher highs even as the market made new highs:



In other words I don't think the market has hit its highs for the cycle but I will be selling into the next big rise.

Of course I reserve the right to be 100% wrong as always.
