I CALL BULLSHIT On Sestak Press Conference

What a load of crap. It took all this time for all of the lunkheads involved to get together to weave THIS story? A story that makes NO SENSE?
Sestak’s original story was a self-serving one. He clearly told everyone about this pressure to drop out of the Pennsylvania senatorial race to paint himself as the strong outsider, the obviously better candidate. It was Sestak against The Machine, a Machine that recognized what a formidable force he was. In order to stop the dynamic Sestak, and throw Specter the bone he was promised when he was bribed, they could only resort to boodling Sestak, as well.
Sestak obviously didn’t know that he was accusing The Machine of a felony with his loose-lipped boasting. So, after Sestak was taken to the woodshed, Team Rahm took a time-out while they tried to get their stories straight.
The story that was told by Sestak today is unadulterated horseshit. It doesn’t pass the smell test.
Sestak, winning the Tour de France Back-Pedaling Championship, is now claiming that the offer was made by Bill Clinton and it was for a presidential advisory board position, typically unpaid. The unpaid part is vital to this fabrication. Obviously their thinking is that if the “bribe” was for an unpaid position it doesn’t break U.S. Code and won’t be a felony. The problem with this story is that there is no way on God’s Green Earth that Bill Clinton was asked to come in, as the enforcer, with a bribe that amounted to an INSULT. These positions are handed out as door prizes at White House luncheons.
They really expect anyone to believe that they offered Sestak a position LOWER than what was his current station in life? John Edwards can still get one of these positions.
Clinton: Hey Joe, drop out of the race ol’ buddy and we’ll give you an unpaid position that no one has ever heard of.
Sestak: (click)
They are LYING. They’ve made this much worse on themselves.
UPDATE: Jamie points out that Sestak said he was offered a “job.” Jobs are not unpaid.
