The Daily Kos says - "you can't negotiate with disaster."
If the Daily Kos was honest, their headline would have read:
"You can't negotiate with $500 million dollars from BP in your pocket."
You see, it seems there's a few politicians involved with
the BP Horizon oil catastrophe who have had their
political pockets stuffed with millions of dollars from
a certain Big Oil company by the name of B F'n P.
No need to dance around here, let's cut to the chase...
Let's start with who Mr. Obama picked as his Energy Secretary,
Mr. Steven Chu.
Steven Chu is in charge of the Obama administration's management
of the BP Horizon oil disaster. But Steven Chu has just a small
conflict of interest here.
Well maybe not so small... because right before Mr Chu left
UC Berkley, he founded the "Energy BioSciences Institute," and
a certain Big Oil company by the name of B F'n P funded
Chu's institute to the tune of FIVE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS!

Now I want you to take a wild-assed guess, what one politician
in America over the last twenty years - did B F'n P give
the most money to?

While the BP oil geyser pumps millions of gallons of petroleum
into the Gulf of Mexico, President Barack Obama and members of
Congress may have to answer for the millions in campaign
contributions they’ve taken from the oil and gas giant over
the years.
BP and its employees have given more than $3.5 million to
federal candidates over the past 20 years, with the largest
chunk of their money going to Obama, according to the Center
for Responsive Politics. Donations come from a mix of
employees and the company’s political action committees —
$2.89 million flowed to campaigns from BP-related PACs and
about $638,000 came from individuals.
On top of that, the oil giant has spent millions each year on
lobbying — including $15.9 million last year alone — as it has
tried to influence energy policy.
During his time in the Senate and while running for president,
Obama received a total of $77,051 from the oil giant and
is the top recipient of BP PAC and individual money over
the past 20 years, according to financial disclosure records.

the launch of Obama's campaign, and how funds Democratic

Fwiw, the two US Presidential administrations with the
most Trilateral Commission members, are the Jimmy Carter
and Barack Obama administrations.
While domestic social policies may differ greatly between
the two parties - not much else does.

So are the multi-nationals and the military-industrial complex.
So is Big Oil.
Perhaps no one on the liberal left has more credibility
in calling out Obama for what he is - than John Pilger.
