You've been around biotech too long not to know, so you're just joking, right? If not . . .

In drug development, p-values are used to determine the outcome of a drug study. More here:

FDA seems to have arbitrarily set a p value of 0.05 for success. Meaning there is a 95% chance that the observed effect on the endpoint in question is from the drug. Or a 5% chance that is it isn't from the drug.
