:Have you been able to find a single one of Solon's laws yet?

Another of your oh so phony posts! I certainly wasn’t looking for any of his laws, as you well know. There are thousands of papers written about his wisdom as one of the seven sages and his responsibility for democracy, human rights, law and order, and western civilization. That is why he is honored in the U.S. Supreme Court. Like…DUH!

Well, you have been proved stupid over and over. I will give you (free) a few quotes from various web sites (which you could have found in a few seconds if you had stopped your wheezing and gotten off your ample rump)!

“Solon also created many family laws, which were laws that regulated the behavior of men and women. He wrote laws on allowances in marriage and adoption, as well as laws concerning inheritances and supporting roles of parents”

“Solon was appointed law giver in Athens because he did not take any sides.  He was known to be a fair man, and so he had full support from all of the various political parties.  When he replaced Draco, Solon threw out all of the old laws except for the homicide law, and he created many new laws, especially in the categories of tort and family laws”

“it is with some confidence that Solon can be placed on the pedestal he deserves as one of the most wise and prescient law-makers that ever lived.”

“Solon, like Hammurabi before him, added a new dimension to this thing called "law": writing it down; codification.

"From since men left caves and lived in groups, the only weapon of law had been force. Now, a foray into writing it down began and with the Greeks and the poet turned-lawmaker Solon, this met with tremendous general acceptance, respect and success."

"Solon’s laws were the model for the great Roman Twelve Tables of which Edward Gibbon simply wrote that:
"… the laws of Solon were transfused into the twelve tables."

“The legislation of Drakon was largely replaced by that of Solon a generation later (594 BC). Solon considered carefully the role of the family in the institutions of the state, and was the first to introduce extensive social legislation (Aesch. 1.183 ff.; Plu. Sol. 20 ff.). He introduced laws governing marriage, adoption, inheritance, property transfers, the treatment of orphans, and generally the protection of the weaker members of society, which were legally unable to aid themselves.”

“As such, he wrote a series of laws and reforms called Solon's laws. They covered all aspects of society: economy, marriage, politics, crime and punishments etc.”

He also introduced the Supreme Court, freed the poor and allowed them to sit as Jurors and in the Assembly and in fact created the democratic assembly of 400 to which we owe our power to the people.

You hated Jefferson and tried to bad mouth him. You hated Solon and bad mouthed him. You hated Ingersoll and bad mouthed him. Why? Because they didn’t follow your superstitions.

You are nothing but a punk kid. Do you want me to keep wiping up your crap with your face!!?? :-)
