WHY DON'T YOU TELL US WHY YOUR "BELIEF IN GOD" IS YOUR REASON FOR NOT BEING A MURDERER, AS YOU CLAIMED.
You haven’t given any reason. I gave you a reason why I believe in living a moral and lawful life. You just gave some tautological nonsense. Anybody could say they believed in unicorns or Hale Bop or Allah or Manitou or Zeus--but NONE of these are reasons. They explain nothing. If I told you I didn’t believe it was rational to step out of a plane without a parachute, I could give you the reason:
Premise the first: I value my existence.
Premise the second. I would only risk my existence for a higher value.
Premise the third: Stepping out of a plane without as parachute risks my existence.
Premise the fourth: Unless it is necessary to save my daughter’s life (or some such value) there is no higher value in stepping out of a plane.
THEREFORE, in normal circumstances it would be irrational for me to step out of a plane. Do you see how easy it is, DUMBO?! It is easy if you have a reason. But YOU don’t have a reason.
God murdered thousands in the bible. He also ordered genocide, infanticide, and every evil known to man. So if God asked you to butcher little children, would you obey??
