Thanks RJA - but if this is the case with the USD why people and more so financial institution buy the USD and USD denominated assets?

After all the value of the USD will fall and any USD denominated (hard) assets may or will rise generating a fake income event which is taxable in the country of origin if the investor lives outside the US.

Plainly it does not make sense except for US taxpayers - oh well in a way

There is no logic of buying USD at present time and I still see the EUR bashing as a ploy to lure people worldwide in buying US debt

Unfortunate this strategy solves short term budgetary problems but longer term the BO administration are bringing the US and the world on the brink of a new financial disaster – as there will be not enough savings worldwide to save the US of A
