Been thinking about your S&P500 PUT as a hedge against a market collapse that would take our micro's with it. First let me thank you for the idea... I followed suit by shorting the S&P500 as soon as I was stopped out of several long positions including my long S&P500 pos. After many years, this is my first excursion to the short side. I'm still short and like it... my micros appreciate the hedge too. I doubt whether I would have the fortitude to maintain them without the hedge.

Do you still have your put ? It seems to me that the hedge doesn't need a "collapse of the market" to make it worthwhile. Perhaps it might be removed only when the S&P 500 is clearly trending higher.... (always subject to strict adherance to stops for shorts, of course).
