At the moment we have few choices. If we had continued with the alternative energy programs started under Carter and killed by Reagan, things might have been different. But, we didn't and they aren't.

They can't blow up. The physics are wrong. Now, they can melt down, but that means doing a lot of things wrong at the same time. It can happen, again, look at 3 Mile Island, but they keep piling the safeguards on.
