One thing to possibly keep in mind is that a lighter car(all else being equal) can do corners at a higher speed without spinning out(or so someone who seems to be in the know said). So maybe you can zip around corners and stay under the speed limits. <G>

Seriously though, I wonder who is doing the composites for these vehicles? In house, maybe? I know HXL has done something in the sector but I got the impression it was very little and only at the highest end.

Another thing I may not have mentioned is that carbon fibers can be impregnated with color so you can to away with the expensive and environmentally unfriendly assembly plant paint shops.
