Corexit is good for one thing -- hiding the true size of an oil slick (that's why BP has used it)...BP's scientists don't care about what Corexit may do to the water column or to the entire ecosystem...It makes our government seem weak when we allow a foreign company to conduct a massive science experiment in our Gulf of Mexico...BP has found a way to get our government to its planes to spray the very controversial Corexit in many parts of the Gulf...and BP is also spraying Corexit down thousands of feet below the surface of the ocean...Many top scientists are concerned but I've read that close to 850,000 gallons of Corexit have been used so far -- and it's NEVER been used in this quantity anywhere in the world...No long term data on what this might do...It frustrates me that our government can't take over and tell BP that safety is absolute priority #1 from the first week of a spill on...When the EPA has concerns about Corexit then BP should stop using it that same day -- within hours...If there's an issue then Obama should call the CEO of BP and say to follow the U.S. government's orders or permanently lose billions in U.S. government fuel contracts...Nobody has really played hardball with BP and we all may suffer because of that...It's called leadership and the buck stops in the White House in the Oval Office...Don't trust BP's scientists on safety -- consider what the world class experts from Woods Hole and Scripps have to say.
