The BOP design creates a baffle wall effect to kill the high well pressure while at the same time moving those plungers to shut the well. I am no drilling expert, but that is what I discern from the design. The BP guy who was on MTP today, looked confident that the next operation in progress hd a greater likelihood of success than the "top kill". I am not.
