Reich is totally clueless. If the problem were just "devoting more assets" it would have been fixed long ago. And the legal basis for taking over BP North America would be in court longer than it will take the relief wells to go in.

Armchair academics pontificating about stuff they know nothing about, it's absurd. But he is an economist, so his natural instinct is just to assume a solution that will work.
