I happen to think the leaders are out there... we, as a nation, just don't want 'em. I consider it a failure of national will, not political will. Elect a leader with political will, and they invariably are voted out of office when confronted with a tooth fairy candidate.

It's the national denial that keeps this going, and I think only true hardship will cause people to accept that most of what the vast majority of candidates spout is BS, great sins of omission and great sins of delusion.

There are millions more people in the latter category who recently began to see the true state of the country because they live in the chasm behind the fantasy. Now the only thing standing in they way of potential candidates is our gov't run by, and for corporations.

And wouldn't you know it, those multinational corps just got a ruling from the Supremes that allows them to take off the brass knuckles and bring out the heavy artillery in support of their "public" servants.

So these disgruntled voters who really don't know what to believe simply recognize that whoever is in office is worthless, but they also realize they, for the most part, do not have a worthy candidate on the ballot. The barrier for entry for a reality based candidate is absolutely huge.
