Drifting ships would have been just as useful to the pro-Hamas activists. Even better, since they would have looked even more helpless. The problem would have remained; the Israelis would have had to take control of the ships. Debka is asking the right questions.

You have to stop thinking that this was about getting anything into Gaza. This is about helping Hamas, pure and simple.

Reports are coming in from Israeli hospitals, where the wounded are being treated, that many of the "peace activists" were wearing camouflage. (h/t contentions blog)
